This ethos is instilled throughout the company, with management and staff alike openly embracing these ideals to ensure that SQS continue to meet and exceed our client's expectations.
Our client base is diverse, and includes many major EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Commissioning) organisations worldwide primarily related to the Oil & Gas, Chemical, Power Generation, and Heavy Engineering Industrial Sectors which are the traditional mainstay of our business, and of late include Nuclear, and Wind Power brought on with the advent of green issues.
SQS's services are available throughout Western and Eastern Europe, the Middle & Far East, Asia, and North America, and are built upon a centrally controlled network of over 700 suitably qualified and experienced contractors, strategically located close to the major industrial centres to minimise travel costs, and to combine the advantages of full knowledge of local suppliers and language, to the benefit of all.
For certain applications, it is a pre-requisite that SQS use only the services of contractors who have specific approvals in place. Details of such qualifications are maintained and typically include ARAMCO for Saudi Arabia. These details are re-checked before submission to the client as part of the SQS pre-selection process.
In respect to the management controls in place, the system employed is fully computerised using a bespoke software program entitled SMART. This program is networked throughout the company and is utilised by all staff in their daily tasks. SMART is literally the central source of data and as such provides traceability throughout all of the activities undertaken via a unique identification number allocated for each assignment received. Data maintained includes hours and distances travelled in the course of each visit, country by country and contractor rates, and general assignment details related to the associated P.O., Supplier, and visit & next visit date etc. From this data, real time itinerary and budgetary reports can be generated and submitted as required to our client's 'project', to assist in both visit and cost monitoring purposes.
Access to the computer network is also available remotely by the company's staff through the World Wide Web, and a 24/7 telephone number is available directly to a company Director for emergency use by our clients should the need arise. An undertaking is also given that reports will be prepared and distributed during all UK National Holidays to allow continuity to our clients on other continents.
